Chic black, Pink & Gold Bridal Shower

Oh be still my beating heart! What else is there to say, gold, pink, black, bubbles, golden tattoo's.   So I will leave it to Marissa, owner of Konfetti Love to tell us a bit more about the event and where her inspiration came from! Detail I love most?  Those Macaron Favors are too cute and I just adore them!  Enjoy the pictures.

​If you are dreaming of a chic and stylish bridal shower to celebrate your upcoming nuptials, this chic black, pink and gold theme will have you covered in no time. It embraces all things girlish and showcases such lovely contrasts and textures. 

First, the stationary I collaborated on with Clarinda Boersema from Pinnipix all the way in Graaff-Reinett was truly the focal point of the dècor and her designs would paint the rest of my vision and inspiration. As a stylist and planner, I find that stationary is the best starting point for these types of events and acts as a fantastic guideline while planning. Her designs included lovely invitations, cocktail stirrers, menu’s,  personalised name tags, lovely macaroon boxes, hashtag signs and a tattoo bar sign.  

The design of the event was clean and crisp with black & white striped runners, lots of gold accents, stunning textured golden pineapples and then last but not least stunning floral arrangements in mostly geometric embellished gold vases to set the tone for a chic tables cape! A big part of the shower inspiration was the ambiance of the space. This shower was located in an intimate and small setting in the Oakroom at Blos Cafe in Pretoria. It had lovely lighting, wooden tables and big open windows to work with. 

Some fun elements included an oversized balloon with the bride’s name written in calligraphy (fancy right?), a stunning foiled curtain photo backdrop for guests to have their picture taken in front of and then the golden tattoo bar which was a hit. Another special part of the design was the drink bar. It boasted with the lovely custom cocktail stirrers and lovely pomegranate juice that colour matched the event to the tee. The champagne bottles were garnished with lovely velvet bows and was the perfect feminine addition to the bar.
